About Us Birth Certificate

 

Date of Birth Certificate is issued by the Embassy, to Indian nationals only, who are residents of Ireland based on details on their Indian passport.

Fee

  • 20 + €2

Fee is payable by two separate crossed postal orders/bank drafts in Euros, drawn in favour of Embassy of India, Dublin. Therefore, the applicant will have to buy two separate postal orders/bank drafts, one postal order/bank draft amounting to €20/- and another postal order/bank draft for €2/-

  1. Submission of Application and Documents to Embassy

Submit the following documents in person or via post at Embassy of India, 69 Merrion Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin-4, Ireland:

  1. The above completed application form;

  2. Two separate postal orders/bank drafts as above.

  3. Original Indian Passport along with self-attested photocopy of front and last page of the passport;

  4. GNIB card copy

  5. Two recent passport size photographs with white background

NB: Before applying to the Embassy, please check all the above documents and appropriate fee have been attached with the application.

Document submission time: Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 12.00 noon. (Except holidays)*

Processing Time: If application is complete in all aspects it usually takes 3 working days from the date of submission of the application in Embassy.

3. Collection Procedure for Birth certificate:

Birth certificate may be collected from the Embassy, after 3 working days. Please bring your receipt for collection.

To receive the Birth certificate by Post, applicants are required to send a self-addressed registered envelope with application (Tamper proof envelope only). If application is sent via post, it will take additional 8-10 working days.

Documents Collection Time: - Monday to Friday between 4pm and 5pm. (Except holidays)*
