Amnesty International India

Amnesty International issued a Statement on 29 September 2020 announcing that it would be halting operations in India due to alleged reprisals from the Government of India (GoI). Like some European countries and the USA, India has domestic financial regulations for any organization to receive money/contribution from outside India that must be strictly adhered to. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), GoI had responded to the Statement of Amnesty International through a Press Release that is attached.
