Presidential Award of Certificate of Honour to Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, Arabic, Persian, Classical Tamil, Classical Oriya, Classical Kannada, Classical Telugu and Classical Malayalam Scholars and Maharshi Badrayan Vyas Samman for young scholars

'Every year, Presidential Awards (International) are given to scholars in Sanskrit and Classical languages Kannada, Telegu, Malyalam and Odiya by the Government of India. Under this, one International Award of Certificate of Honour is awarded to Non-Resident Indian (NRI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) with outstanding contribution in the field of Sanskrit and two International Awards (one each for PIO and Non-Indian origin) are awarded in each of the classical languages: Kannada, Telegu, Malyalam and Odiya.

Scholars desirous of applying for the awards are advised to provide a resume of their published books in not more than 2 pages and also provide the English translation of the title and work of the scholars.

Nominations in the attached proforma,complete in all respects, along with the character and antecedent certificates, duly signed by the respective recommending authority/ies should be forwarded to: Embassy of India, Dublin.

Last date for submission of nomination to the Embassy is: 10 April, 2021'
