Advisory for International Travel on non-scheduled commercial flights under Vande Bharat Scheme and Air Transport Bubble arrangement:

Indian nationals desirous of going to India can avail flights under Vande Bharat Mission (Air India) and under Air Bubble transport (Foreign airlines) arrangements from London, Frankfurt and Paris only. Such persons are required to compulsorily register with the respective Indian Embassy from where they intend to board such flights. Tickets are to be directly booked from the concerned airlines website.

All OCI card holders holding valid passports of UK, USA, Germany and France with which air bubble scheme i.e. bilateral air travel arrangements have been worked out by the Government of India, are permitted to enter India.

All other OCI card holders who hold passports of other nations are eligible to travel only if they fall under below mentioned categories:

(i) Minor Children who hold OCI cards and whose parents are Indian nationals.
(ii) OCI card holders who wish to come to India on account of family emergencies like critical medical
     conditions of immediate family members or death.
(iii) Married Couples where one spouse is an OCI cardholder and the other is an Indian national.
(iv) Students, who are OCI cardholders where at least either of their parents is an Indian citizen or an OCI cardholder.

Following are the guidelines on International arrivals to India:

i. All travelers should submit self-declaration form on the online portal (www.newdelhiairport.in) at least 72 hours before the scheduled travel.

ii. They should also give an undertaking on the portal that they would undergo mandatory quarantine for 14 days i.e. 7 days paid institutional quarantine at their own cost, followed by 7 days isolation at home with self-monitoring of health.

iii. Only for compelling reasons/ cases of human distress such as pregnancy, death in family, serious illness and parent(s) with children of the age of 10 years or below, home quarantine may be permitted for 14 days.

iv. If they wish to seek such exemption under para (iii) above, they shall apply to the online portal (www.newdelhiairport.in) at least 72 hours before boarding. The decision taken by the government as communicated on the online portal will be final.

v. Travelers may also seek exemption from institutional quarantine by submitting a negative RTPCR test report on arrival. This test should have been conducted within 96 hrs prior to undertaking the journey. The test report should be uploaded on the portal for consideration. Each passenger shall also submit a declaration with respect to authenticity of the report and will be liable for criminal prosecution, if found otherwise. The test report could also be produced upon arrival at the point of entry airport in India.
